Pete Gaffney

Managing Director
Principal Consultant

PETE AT WORK. The founder of ZEMPLIN and our Principal Consultant, responsible for client relationships and providing strategic direction on all of our contract work. Pete is an award-winning expert in strategic communications, behaviour change campaigns and message-based marketing with more than 15 years of experience in the industry. He's worked with or for over 400 charities, non-government organisations, political parties and business brands. He's best known for his work as Campaigns Manager on the inaugural Big Help Out in 2023, mobilising over 7million people to volunteer in celebration of The King's Coronation.
PETE IN LIFE. Trained historian, former first responder and a big American sports fan who stubbornly justifies his support for the Pats and Bruins on the basis that he had a great-great grandfather from Boston. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, hitting the gym, reading fantasy or sci-fi fiction, 19th century history and trying to forget about the last few seasons of E.R.

Jayne McGill-Harris

Senior Marketing & Communications Consultant

JAYNE AT WORK. With a passion for helping organisations grow and supporting non-profits in driving meaningful change, Jayne brings a unique blend of strategic communications expertise and practical business experience to ZEMPLIN.

Over the years, she has honed her skills in content creation, brand messaging, and project management, with a focus on amplifying the voices of clients and creating lasting impact. In addition to her professional work, Jayne spent recent years managing a successful holiday let business in the Welsh countryside, where she developed a keen understanding of entrepreneurship and the importance of clear, engaging communication.

Balancing this venture with freelance work, she continued to nurture her PR roots by writing award nominations for long-time clients, all while cultivating new skills in remote project management. Now, as a Senior Marketing Communications Consultant at ZEMPLIN, she’s excited to bring her experiences together, creating innovative strategies that help organisations tell their stories and achieve their goals.
JAYNE IN LIFE. When she’s not working, Jayne enjoys practising yoga, walking in the Welsh hills, and spending time with her family, making the most of life in the countryside.
